The parent child relationship is very special and doesn’t happen by mistake. So parents, here’s a challenge for you.
For one week, take 10 minutes per day, sit down with your child and ask about their day. Ask about what they liked or didn’t like and why. Ask about the children they like or don’t like and why. Ask them to tell of a person they saw acting correctly and one who was acting incorrectly. Then ask what they thought about the person who acted correctly and incorrectly. This is a great time to teach them your values and you can use this to help them see how others may view their own actions. It’s also a great way to begin teaching them on how to decided which people to spend their time with.
